Sales Team

Stuart Klane / President:

Stu brings to the table over 30 years of experience and expertise in the food industry. Specializing in Frozen and Perishable Foods, Stu started out with a line called Big Valley Fruit. He represented the line for over 20 years, until Big Valley was purchased by Dole, getting them established in all of the major retail chains, and distributors (as well as their independents) in the New England Market. He has had great success building many lines since. Taking a manufacturer from ground zero and making them a household name is what he enjoys doing most! Unlike many larger brokerage houses, Stu takes a personal interest in all accounts (large or small) and will give your line the time and attention it deserves to make your line a profitable one!

David Hajjar / Vice-President, Sales:

David has spent his entire career in the food industry! He came to S. M. Klane Company in 2003 and has headquarter sales responsibility for both wholesale and retail accounts.

Prior to his employment with S. M. Klane Company, David held positions in distribution, retail, and manufacturing. He began his career as a sales representative for two New England food distribution companies and later used that experience to branch into buying and merchandising for both Wetterau and SuperValu. David progressed from SuperValu's Director of Frozen Food and Dairy for the Andover Division to the Promotion Manager for SuperValu's New England Region. In that capacity, he was responsible for overseeing the promotional and merchandising programs in the Grocery, Frozen Food, and Dairy Departments. He later broadened his experience again by taking a position with Star Market as a buyer and category manager. David then transitioned his career into sales working as the New England Sales Manager for Vermont Family Farms Milk prior to taking the sales position with S. M. Klane Company. As you can see by his vast list of accomplishments, David has a strong sense of what needs to be done and how to go about accomplishing it!

Amanda Klane / Sales Representative:

Our most recent addition to the sales team is Amanda Klane. A recent graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Amanda has joined forces with both David and her Dad and brings with her a fresh approach to marketing and sales! She has catapulted us into the age of lap tops, air cards, blackberry's, etc. and possesses an energy and zest for life that is infectious! Amanda's youthful optimism and Stu and David's old school values are a winning combination!

Customer Service

Amy Bergeron / Sr. Account Administrator / Customer Service Representative:

Amy has been employed as a Customer Service Representative for over 25 years. The last 15+ years have been spent as an employee of S. M. Klane Company where she has provided exceptional customer service support to manufacturers and retailers alike. Amy will take on any task, big or small, and get the job done correctly and efficiently! We have been told by many that Amy is outstanding in her field and we are very fortunate to have her on our Team. In addition to her customer service experience, Amy also has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and is an Enrolled Agent.

Sherrie Weatherby / Account Administrator / Customer Service Representative:

Like Amy, Sherrie has years of experience in Customer Service. She has been a member of the S. M. Klane Company Customer Service Team since 1999. Prior to working at S. M. Klane, Sherrie held a Customer Service position with James Ferrera & Sons bringing her total experience in the food industry to over 15 years as well. Sherrie takes a positive approach to every situation and will not rest until the job is properly completed!

Administrative Support

Donna Baker / Office Manager / Executive Assistant:

Donna has been working as Stu's Office Manager since January, 1992. It is Donna's responsibility to ensure that the overall office operation runs smoothly and efficiently. She has the organizational skill set needed to keep the Team on task. She provides us with the tools that the Sales and Customer Service Team needs to bring quality support to you!

Marty McGovern / Order Entry Clerk:

Marty has been working with S. M. Klane Company since February, 2003. She focuses on order entry and reporting.
